My hellofresh healthy fav, sweet chili turkey lettuce wraps
Who doesn’t love a new quick, healthy, easy to make dinner idea? I know I’ve shared my love for HelloFresh time & time again so I thought it’d be fun to share one of my favorite HelloFresh recipes, that’s healthy, & easy to make. Like most HelloFresh recipes, this one takes about 25 min! I’m going to share this easy recipe with you step by step so you can get a feel for how yummy & easy the HelloFresh recipes are, a little preview of the unique meals you can expect if you’ve been thinking about ordering! Only downside is, you’ll have to do your own grocerry shopping to gather your items.
ok let’s get started!
On-pan, sweet chili turkey lettuce wraps recipe
what you’ll need (recipe for 4) :
2 bell peppers
2 yellow onion
2 baby romaine lettuce
14 oz cilantro
1 oz peanuts
20 oz ground turkey
8 TBSP sweet soy glaze
2 oz sweet thai chili sauce
step 1: PREP
core, deseed, & finely dice bell peppers. halve, peel, & finely dice onion. trim and discard root end from lettuce. separate leaves. quarter lime. finely chip cilantro.
step 2: CANDY PEANUTS
heat a large, non stick pan over medium high heat. add peanuts, 2 tsp sugar, and 2 TBSP water. cook stiring until water has evaportated and peanuts are coated and lightly toasted. 3-5 min. Turn off heat. transfer to a small bowl. wipe out pan.
step 3: COOK VEGGIES & TURKEY
heat a large drizzle of oil in pan used for peanuts over medium-high heat. add bell pepper and onion, seas0n with salt and pepper. cook stirring until tender and lightly browned. 5-8 minutes. Transfer veggies to a plate.
add a drizzle of oil to same pan. add turkey, season with salt & pepper. Using spatula press into an even layer. cook, undisturved until browned on the bottom, 3-4 minutes. Break up meat into pieces and countinue cooking until turkey is cookies through, 2-4 min.
Stir in cooked veggies then add sweet soy glaze, chili sauce, & 2 TBSP butter. cook, stirring until mixture is thoroughly coated 2-3 minutes more.
remove from heat and stir in a squeeze of lime juice.
step 4: SERVE
divide lettuce leaves between plates fill with turkey mixture. garnish with candied peanuts and cilantro. serve remaining lime wedges on the side.
& there you have it, my favorite, one-pan sweet chili lettuce wraps!
